Job Title: Senior Learning Designer
Contract: 6 months
Location: London, Manchester or Bristol
Rate: Max rate is £400 inside IR35
We are looking for a Learner Designer that is central to creating high-quality, user-centered learning experiences that support the development of digital skills across government. You will lead on the design and delivery of engaging learning solutions, collaborating with various experts and stakeholders to ensure all learning products meet diverse user needs.
What you'll need to have:-
- Be able to demonstrate designing high-quality, interactive learning products that meet a range of user needs.
- Experience in crafting user-centered learning journeys, enhancing engagement and effectiveness.
- Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools such as Rise 360 and platforms like FutureLearn.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to think strategically, establish a vision, and inspire others.
- Experience with agile methodologies and working within agile project teams.
- The ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
What you'll be doing day to day:-
- Design and develop innovative and impactful learning products tailored to user needs, using a variety of delivery methods.
- Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs), stakeholders, external partners, and usability testers to ensure the accuracy, relevance, and effectiveness of learning experiences.
- Lead as a subject-matter expert in learning design, providing guidance to other CDDO teams and championing best practices.
- Collaborate with the Government Skills and Curriculum Unit (GSCU) to ensure learning products are aligned with cross-government skills initiatives, address skills gaps, and meet evolving learning requirements.
- Conduct and support learning needs analyses, responding strategically to emerging business needs.
- Promote diversity and inclusion by ensuring all learning materials contribute to an inclusive environment within cross-government teams.
