Location: Hybrid - Remote working with occasional visits to the London office if/when required

Rate: £575 per day

Role Overview:

A Brand Strategist is required for our Government client who are building a brand team to ensure that the services they provide are coherently branded, consistently delivered and trusted by users.

As the Brand Strategist you will lead the way on strategy, protection and positioning of their unique brand.

You will join a team comprising of talented creatives and designers who will bring the brand to life visually.

Your role is to provide the strategic foundation their work is built on, defining the positioning, protecting the integrity of the brand, and ensuring that wherever a user encounters a public service, the experience feels joined-up, credible, and designed with them in mind.

Essential Skills & Experience required:

As the Brand Strategist you will possess 5 years + experience across brand strategy, management and protection within a technology, platform or consumer-facing business where the brand operates across multiple channels, products and services.

Have worked across organisational boundaries with product teams, legal, communications, and policy teams, and can demonstrate examples of turning brand principles into practical guidelines that non-brand specialists can use.

Demonstrate experience of brand protection and enforcement, including trademark fundamentals, IP monitoring, and how to escalate and resolve brand misuse across digital and physical channels in partnership with legal counsel.

A proven track record of strategic work with strong creative instincts with a proven ability to work alongside creative leaders and evaluate design outputs against brand positioning and authority.

Can demonstrate measurable impact, whether building a governance framework from scratch, reducing infringement rates, or improving cross-channel consistency

Are a confident communicator and influencer who has presented brand strategy to senior leadership, written clear policy and guidance, and brought sceptical stakeholders on board with a brand decision.

 

 

 

 You will have a proven track record of implementing brand strategies and brand architecture for large organisations and/or within creative environments.

Able to provide clear direction to both leadership and product teams.

Working with senior stakeholders, c-suite 

Duties include: To define and steward the brand strategy with their Head of Design/Head of Strategy

Lead brand protection and enforcement

Develop and maintain brand governance frameworks

Act as a cross-functional brand authority and partner closely with the brands team creative leadership.

Able to distil qualitative and quantitative research into clear, actionable recommendations.
