Role Overview:

A System Integration SME (Niche) is required for our public sector client who are migrating to a new records management system - Niche.  This will be one of the largest and most complex change programmes the client has undertaken for a number of years, and as the System Integration SME, you will play a critical role in designing, delivering and assuring system integrations between the Niche RMS and internal and external systems, ensuring secure, reliable and performant data exchange in support of their business.

Essential Skills & Experience required:

As the Systems Integration SME you will provide Niche RMS integration expertise for their implementation programme.

Possess proven experience as an Integration SME or Architect

A strong understanding of API, messaging and batch integration patterns

Have experience integrating enterprise systems in complex environments

Familiarity with Niche RMS

An understanding of records management and operational data flows

Experience working within the public sector or policing sector is desirable

Knowledge of security standards, authentication and data protection

Experience working with integration middleware or platforms

 

Responsibilities include:

Design and deliver integrations aligned to the target architecture and client requirements. This will include multiple local and national client systems and will include progression of existing integrations available for Niche RMS and relevant systems.

Ensure integrations are secure, resilient, and compliant with information assurance standards.

Enable effective data flows between systems and to support operational processes.

Support programme delivery at pace while reducing integration risk.

 

Core scope includes (but is not limited to)

Review of existing integration landscape and interface documentation

Definition of integration patterns, standards, and best practice

Design of interfaces between Niche RMS and upstream/downstream systems

Support for real-time, near-real-time, and batch integrations

Collaboration with the Niche supplier on supported integration approaches

API, message-based, and file-based integration design

Error handling, monitoring, and reconciliation design

Security design including authentication, authorisation, and data protection

Support for integration testing, defect resolution, and go-live

Documentation of integration designs and operational procedures
